  • Raises pool water pH and alkalinity

Hasa's Soda Ash increases the water's pH in swimming pools.

 

To raise pH: Measure pH with a reliable test kit. The ideal pH range is 7.2-7.8. When pH is below 7.2, add Hasa's Soda Ash at the rate of 1 pound per 10,000 gallons to raise the pH .1. Apply Hasa's Soda Ash by sprinkling over the surface of the water at the deep end of the pool while filter and pump are running. DO NOT add more than 2 pounds at one time. Wait 4-6 hours after application and retest pH. Add more of Hasa's Soda Ash if necessary.

 

To raise alkalinity: Measure alkalinity with a reliable test kit. When total alkalinity is less than 80 ppm, add Hasa's Soda Ash at the rate of 1 pound per 10,000 gallons to increase total alkalinity 10 ppm. Apply Hasa's Soda Ash by sprinkling over the surface of the water at the deep end of the pool while filter and pump are running. DO NOT add more than 2 pounds at one time.Wait 4-6 hours and retest alkalinity. Ideal range is 80-120 ppm.
